I NEED HELP I CANNOT FIND THE ANSWER TO THSE TWO QUESTIONS ANYWHERE DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER OR KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND IT??

Its pretty simple yes ethylene glycol has a lower freezing point than water (-13.5 C) as does propylene glycol (-60C). Mixing these compounds with water drives down the freezing point of the solution below 0 C.

This Wiki article also points out that the deicing systems heat the solution too. So you melt melting from the heat transfer and then it has to be cold enough to refreeze the mixture at its new lower freezing point.

well, what i would guess is its like the anti freeze in your car, you use ethelyne glycol mix to lowering the freezing point of the fluids in your car, so my guess would be that by spraying glycols on the wings might lower the freezing point of the liquids on the wings to prevent it. not sure but educated guess
