A con-artist is someone who cheats you off of something like say I am selling a peice of gum for 10 dollers. When you can buy 10 packs of gum bor 10 dollars. It's like scamming you!

a CON artist is someone with a shady background... their intentions are to swindle from people who were most likely fooled by their antics... the are criminals, crooks... HOODLUMS...O_o
