okay...my english teacher wants me to write about something I want. then i'm supposed to show the letter to my parents and see if they let me do it or get it...kinda boring but w/e. lol so i want a puppy. what should i say? 10 pts for goood answer?? thanx u guys!!!

Maybe you could talk about why do you want a puppy first off, then tell your parents what your will do if you were to get this puppy... ie: walk it, clean it, feed it, etc. Next off you can maybe describe a specific dog that you want in order to show that you really know what you are talking about, thus showing that you could take care of this dog.

Well persuasive essays are suppose to convince someone to do something. Try to write about how the puppy will be good for you. For instance if you are an only child then you could say the dog would be a good companion. If you have brother's and sisters you can say that you aren't getting enough attention and you need something to keep you company. There are a lot of good things you can say to get a puppy. Even if you don't get it the fact that you used guilt to get what you wanted is a good way to persuade people.

well u should start out with a introduction like short example: do u like puppies? i do or something start it with a question is wat my teacher told us to do... but w/e then in a paragraph explain how responsible u are, in another explain all the responsibilities of a dog and how u will make them part of ur daily rutine, then have another paragraph saying watkind of puppy u would like if u could get one, then finish of with a conluding paragraph which basically sums up ur whole essay in about 5-7 sentences. make sure u have and attention getter and include it in ur introduction and cunlusion...good luck i had to do an essay like this too deffinatly not the funnest thing to do

I would say-
1st paragraph- State what you want (Dog) and the reasons you want it (the reasons in the 2,3, and 4 paragraph).
2nd paragraph- talk about how dogs are great companions (1st reason)
3rd paragraph- talk about how dogs are relatively easy to care for (2nd reason)
4th paragraph- talk about how dogs are your favorite animal (3rd reason)
5th paragraph- restate the reasons and close the essay.

Do your own homework. I am sure you can come up with something. It's not "boring", you're just lazy. (if you just said I'm not lazy - prove me wrong and do it)
