the edge of the bowl on when there is a little left over, but only at home, never in public.

I have always used a spoon, it really has never occured to me to drink from the bowl. If the soup is in a cup, I drink from the cup. I never realised it was a issue! Hehehe!

I will admit that I will use the spoon until I can't anymore then I do sip the rest from the edge of the bowl.

OK, I confess! My mom said to always use the spoon from start to finish, But, I've never done everything my mom told me to. So yes, I've been known to slurp the last from the bowl. Bad manners, but oh well!

Spoon... I lap up the bottom inch or so with my tongue.
It's great fun at fancy dinner parties!
