Joss Whedon has a new series of comic books that he is planning to write that will come out next year. There is also an MMORPG in the works for the PC. Other then that, Whedon and the actors are all busy: Whedon has his "Goners" movie and Buffy season 8 comic series, Nathan Fillion is starring in Tim Minear's "Drive" starting in April on Fox, Summer Glau has a role in the upcoming Terminator TV show "The Sarah Conner Chronicles" and has had a recurring role this season in "The Unit", Adam Baldwin was in "Daybreak" with Taye Diggs, Morena Baccarin is the new bad guy on "Stargate SG-1", Jewel Staite will be the new head doctor on the next season of "Stargate Atlantis", and thats about it.

There were rumours of a sequel and/or possible new series of TV show but unfortunately it looks like that's not gonna happen. Whilst being one of the better movies to be released in 2005 (certainly MUCH better than Revenge of the Sith), it didn't make nearly as much money as hoped and so, sequels are unlikely. But the film itself is a marvel, not only because it is a great film but also because it's a film that really should never have been made. So while there will be no more, at least Firefly got a brilliant send off.

Firefly/Serenity was the best!
Sadly, I think it is over.
If you watch the special features on the movie DVD, everyone pretty much says good-bye to any future productions.
I have rented both the series and the movie several times from Netflix. I never get tired of them.

If only! I love Firefly. Serenity was good, but it wasn't as good as the series...the banter just wasn't there. Anyway, I doubt there's going to be anything more. I blame Fox for broadcasting the show on a Friday night and barely advertising it.
