It could be that you have a clotting problem or maybe your blood pressure is low. If it were me i would want it checked out by my doctor.

What concerns me is the lack of explanation they gave you....Where did you have the blood drawn? My only knowlege about blood draws is from personal experience and I have one arm that gives and gives and the other arm is filled with "rolly veins"
Are you on any medication that would cause you blood to clot super fast? (once healthy blood is exposed to oxygen it will start clotting)
How long is "too long"?
Were you giving blood or plasma?
Have you had issues with blood donation before, or was this your first time?
What kind of reputation does the clinic taking your blood have?

What did you drink before giving blood?

Sounds like you were dehydrated. If you really want to give blood, you need to drink about 4 - 8 ounce glasses of water starting 2 hours or so before you donate. Soda and other caffeinated beverages will just dehydrate you.
