I'd treat them better than fair.. honestly, I'd probably spoil them! :-)

They're a human being, I would treat them the way I would like to be treated when I am someplace unfamiliar. It's very hard for exchange students to adjust to living abroad. They can become very homesick, and don't always have the English skills to verbalize what they are going through to their host families. You should always be EXTRA nice to exchange students.

Thats just a dumb question..why would anyone treat their foreign exchange student unfairly? Oh wait, are YOU the exchange student and feels like your host parents are treating you that way? Oh, please..ALL teenagers think they are..doesnt matter which adults it is..then you grow up, have kids of your own and realise where they were coming from

Whatta you mean by unfair? Like not giving them any supper when everyone else is porking out? I would treat them with respect. Just because they're foreign doesn't mean they're not human.
