If you know what my life has been like for about the last seven years you may say I have overcome incredible odds. As much as would like to explain why I can't or I wont. What I have lost in my life is nothing that anyone can pay off by just giving money. It just makes me wounder would I be any different then who I am if this event never happened.

In 1996 I had advanced cancer that had metastasized to my lung, lower abdoman, and left kidney. I endured a 7 1/2 hr operation and was sent to Indiana University Medical Center for 2 augmuous stem cell transplants and 2 rounds of high dose chemotherapy and had to stay in an isolated intensive care room for a total of 35 days in Nov-Dec 1996. Before going there for these drastic treatments I had the elders of the church pray over me and annoint me with oil which made my faith stronger. I was told that my chances were 40-50% but I always knew that I would live to tell the tale as God healed me of advanced cancer!

I have been hit by lightning. I was in the car, but it still counts. The lightning stopped our watches, fried the car battery, and gave a really weird sensation to the parts of you that were touching the sides of the car. I dont know the odds of being struck by lightning, but aren't they extremely low.

Not incredible - but in November my husband left me with nothing in a strange town with no place to live. Now I've got my own apartment and everything is going good.
Can't let one thing define who you are.

Not really. I've been fortunate. An ignorant person seeing me as a minority (I'm mostly white but also have japanese and hawaiian) would assume I have becuase I'm an engineering student.
