i get really freaked out when a sharp object is close to mine or someone elses eye!even a finger....is this even a phobia?i don't know any1 who reacts the same way...but it's really serious in my case!the other day a friean was puting contact lances and i freaked out big time...i thought she's going to poke her eye out...and yester day my mom was suposed to put eye drops in my eye and i ran away .....what is wrong with me?

I wonder if you ever had something traumatic involving your eyes when you were young. You may not remember. Ask your mom to help you recall if something occurred. She may have forgotten as well, until you jog her memory.

I think it's a little normal to be fearful of something dangerous near your eyes, but your right the eye drops ... that's a little more odd.

I think thats a normal reflex I don't like anything stuck in my face either.
As far as the eye drops go,just keep your eye open and try to look away.

yes is is a phobia called Aichmophobia
oh and by the fear of gold is called Aurophobia
