We still have a year + before a decision will be made on who will be next president and already they are mudslinging. Clinton & Obama, yada yada yada

How do you feel about all the money spent on campaigns? mudslinging?, all the mailers that end up in land fill?
Does it make you apathetic?

I have no problem with the "democratic" way, I just think we could maybe limit when campaigning can start and be more civilized. I mean who cares who some group in Hollywood supported 8 years ago, that doesn't guarantee they will support the same party or candidate this year, just because the candidate is the wife of the candidate supported in the past.

How about ALL politicians being limited to a one-page resume, and a 3 page summary of what they plan to do to lead the country in the right direction. A 2 hour question and answer session would be open to the public's questions, with the transcript published the next day. Done. May the best candidate win.

I still think that democracy is worth is, even with all it's mudslinging and other such crap. Would you prefer to live in some communist totalitarian state instead ?
