a married woman who has no intention of leaving her husband.

I have never had an affair with a married man, but my current husband saved me from a horrid relationship and we technically were having an affair since it took a few months for the divorce to become final. I think that if the marriage is not bad, they are not already seperated or divorcing. Then it is a dead end street and the guy probably just wants sex, nothing more. If he was truly unhappy he would already be trying to leave.

RE: How oftentimes does having an affair with a married guy finally end up in him leaving his spouse? i'm a fifty two year previous woman and became divorced final year from my 2nd husband. the guy I've began the affair with additionally knew my husband and has been a sympathetic ear each and every now and then via fact that he left. those days we made plans to secretly meet and have intercourse. He's been married to an analogous woman...

Coming from a woman who's husband left her and their 8 month old baby, after having an affair that started when the baby was still in the womb (I was about 7 months pregnant when it started), I would NEVER do that to another woman. NEVER. That woman knew he was married, knew me, and knew I was pregnant. She even bought my baby a present. He left me for her in August of 05. Our divorce went through in August of 06. They got married in October of 06. Now that woman is my baby's step mom. She is disgusting and morally corrupt (despite her claim that God told her to do what she did). Anyone who would do such an awful thing to another woman (and/or an innocent child) is awful.

BTW - don't believe a thing a married man who is having an affair with you says about his wife - and how awful she is. It is a bunch of bull. I guarantee it.

Years ago when I was young and stupid, I had an affair with a married man. I wanted sex. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. He offered to leave his wife for me, so I dumped him. No my expectations did not change.

the affair that i had was not with a married man, but was with a guy who had a steady gf for 3 years. i did not want him to leave her. i was content on being the other woman because i didnt want a relationship. but when i decided to see someone he flipped the script and did not want me to see other people. ironic huh?

You can develope a good trusting friendship but as long as you keep a reality check that he is married, then it won't change. Obviously you must have known when it started. It does make it harder because he is unavailable and that alone makes him more desirable. Stay real and keep it real.

I never done that before, but I know plenty who have, and they never leave their wives. They usually see the mistress as some1 they can have sexual pleasures with, but their wife is who have their hearts. If he's marriage was falling apart before you entered his life the possibiltiy of him leaving his wife is greater

I was young and dumb and didn't consider the wifes feelings, but it was just a fling. Besides, I've always thought that if he'd cheat on one he'll cheat on us all.
