emos: cut there wrists, listen 2 emo music, wear lots of black eyeliner, wear skinny jeans, cry alot, emotional, wear sweaters [most of the time]

I personally have never heard of "emo" before. On the other hand , "Gothic" is a state of mind as well as being. Most "Gothics" dress in black cloth and black leathers. Some paint a white facial make-up onto themselves as well. Many "Gothics" have tribal(black only) tattoo's and body piercings as well. Some do not have any. The mind set is rather difficult to explain, so I will leave that to someone more experienced with that for you as I do not wish to mislead you there. As the quote(I don't know who from though) says, "to be one is to know one".

Gothic is usually people who wear almost all black.Gothic people are usually outcasts.I think emo is more to do with music but I'm not sure.

my teenagers say emo, they say are emotional people, but then i seen a skit or something on saturday night live, and they said emo's are the oposite, people with no emotion, but i'm sure you could use it for both.
