I work for an Indian tribe in Oklahoma, co-workers and my boss are constantly rude to me and treat me like an outsider. In the past two weeks, I have been yelled at and cursed at. This harrassment started in October and has escalated to the point where I take two anti-depressants. With this little information I have provided, does anyone think I have a case? Do I need to provide more details?

Why would you continue working there when you are so obviously unhappy? Suing is not the answer to everything....

Bottom Line :: Look for a new job while you are working, give notice and leave. You could sue for a hostile work enviroment. I myself have sued and reached a settlement. In the long run I should have taken the advice I just gave you. FIND A NEW JOB. In a long, drawn out lawsuit, bad energies and vibes are created that are destructive. The toll is greater than any yield. If I had it to do over I would have found a better job and would be better off now. There is wisdom to "picking our fights". Move on and grow, and don't look back. Good Luck.

You need to show that your depression (for which you are taking anti-depressants) is a direct result of this treatment. If some other major event, like getting divorced, losing a child or parent, or other traumatic event occurred, you probably won't have a case. First of all, I would quit your job and then contact an attorney. You can always sue, the question is whether or not you will win.

Why don't you just quit? Sometimes that is a tactic of management when they can't fire you, but want you gone. So, the harrass you until you quit. I don't know if that's what they are doing. But, I wouldn't bother with suing because that might affect you being hired at other jobs. Just quit and be done with it.

No. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you have a lawsuit.

If you don't like your working environment, QUIT!!!!
