Broken Laptop Display?

I bought a Samsung Laptop a few months ago, have barely even used it. My son was messing around with it and evidently dropped it, stepped on it or something. The display screen has a big black area on it, an everything to the right and below the spot is blank. Can this be fixed?

The LCD itself cannot be fixed. You're better off searching eBay or contacting Samsung for a replacement display. Should be fairly easy to change out.

It should still be under warranty, get it fixed.
