If you only waited a week after you had sexual contact, than there;s a BIG chance you tested a little to early, i'd say wait a few weeks.

Usually you should wait at least two weeks from the time of suspected conception. One week after intercourse may not be long enough, especially if ovulation was later than usual this month for some reason.

I would retest if you haven't already and if you are at least 2 weeks past the date. However, don't stress too much as there are many reasons that periods can be late. It's not unusual to skip one completely now and then.

I had a blood test when I had 3 weeks pregnant and it came out negative. But guess what? The "negative" test is now 11 years old! I think you have to wait at least a month after the date you were supposed to have your last period to know for sure.

there is a possibility you tested to early or there just wasnt enough hcg in your urine, wait a week and test again or go get a blood test. If all that comes out negative and you still think your pregnant get into the docotr and have them do a ultrasound and full exam. good luck and i hope it turns out the way you want.

tesing 1 week after intercourse gives you no indication whether or not you are pregnant.

You would need to test about 10 days after you ovulate (assuming you had intercourse around that time) (no earlier)

You may have a delayed period for a number of reasons. But if you have missed your period and taken an HPT and it was negative, then you probably arent pregnant, and your cycles may be simply changing...

Always a possibility. Give yourself a 4-5 more days and retake the test. If negative and no period, see your doctor so you will feel better.

usually you can detect if you are pregnant a a month of conceiving on some people it may take 6 weeks to find out try to take a first response test they are supposed to be able to detect 5 days before your missed period also use your first morning urine it has the highest level of hormones in it

wait for the 2nd missed period to know for sure when using the urine test. or you will spend money testing for hormones that arent present yet.

if you want a child, just wait and see. if you dont, then you should do something about it now before you know. at this early stage it is still possible to do something that wont cause long term emotional stress.
