I'm in America, one day at the beach there was a European guy I was talking to and I asked him what I have always wondered..."You have a great accent, what does an American accent sound like, do you like it?" He said, "l don't know, let me hear you talk again." so I did and he says "No I don't hear any accent." It was embarrassing but I thought he answered my question, we Americans speak normally / no accent, it's the rest of the world with the accent. From your question I see that guy must have been lying to me! What a Meany!

My friend's say I sound British, which I seem to get from my parents who went to British boardingschools and colleges.
I don't Americans have the coolest accent, even I find it hard to understand my friends sometimes, but I think southern accents are cutest.

Stephanie. I love any US accent. So cool. Just the sound of one gets me going. Favourites are West Coast, then Mid-west, not too sure about Deep South, but all great sounding to me D D

I love the British accent and do sound British myself. Some American pronunciations sound wierd and confusing. E.g in saying the word bag, (b-ah-g) is the British way compared to (b-eh-g) which sounds more American. It gets confusing when you have to say the word beg and bag together, since they both have the same pronunciation.

Wow, your responses are a bit shocking to me. I come from the West Indies and find the American accent to be pretty simple. I've yet to find an American accent that amuses me.
