I use to drive through Connecticut about 30 years ago, just to see the sights. Boring.

I live there and it sucks!! there is never anything to do unless you like the club scene, b/c if thats your thing then downtown new haven or hartford is your place. The foliage is really pretty and all but it's a pain when you gotta rake it and bag it all. The snow and cold sucks unless you like atv's or snowmobiles, but even then good luck trying to find a place that lets you ride them. The summers are probably the best because it's hot but not wicked hot like in florida (i used to live there too). The school systems are supposed to be pretty high up there in the country but I went to public school here almost all my life and if we're supposed to be one of the best then I feel bad for the rest of the country. If your'e thinking about moving here DON't and if you already live here GET OUT

I'm wondering if high profile types over there are still getting indicted on corruption charges with as much frequency as the last time I thought of Connecticut.

Definately one of the prettiest states I have visited so far. The tiny towns are a great escape from NYC which is not too far away. The people are extremely friendly and almost country like in personality. I recommend it to everyone who likes to relax.

I lived in Fairfield county for twenty years -- mostly rich suburbs of NYC nice if you have money but a little boring which is why I moved to NYC. Lots of Corporate types in Stamford -- but pretty good retaurants and culture for a small city.

I worked in Hamden on a temporary assignment, once. It was OK. It looks a lot like my part of the world, Southwestern Pennsylvania.
I did notice that the cost of homes was unbelieveably high, compared to what I was used to.
