Is their any pro-constituion, limited federal powers, limited intervention in citizens life, pro-fiscal responsiblity people left, it is hard to tell because I certainly don't here any noise from them. Mostly I hear people claiming to be from the right, then saying that they support deficit spending, spying on citizens, handing over of control of local national guard, and degrading of the consitiution through "signing statements" of their georgy.
Once again note to trolls, try to respond with a fact or too, and keep the perosonal attacks clean, they only hurt your credibility

I agree that libertarians do fit, but their don't seem to be many around, or at least I don't hear much from them.

Mr Steel your answer doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Let's look at the history, some Americans voted for a pres that said
"I am anti-interventionist, pro-fiscal responsibity"
he was declared an winner by your highest court, but many credible people say their was monkey business in his brothers state florida where the person in charge was a member of Bushes fund raisning operation.

It seems like losing a little bit of your right to privacy is like being a "little bit pregnet" , if the law enforcement is unable to show enough evidence to an impartial person (judge), do you realy think they should be allowed to snoop?

What do you mean that "no pres is going to get out of hand" didn't you have a repb named tricky dicky who got out of hand using the government secret service to spy on his political oponents? Seems like some people thought he was out of hand, and all he did was lie, nobody died because of his lies?

Yes sir! Right here. Unfortunately and Ironically, we have the Patriot Act. This act nullifies all of our rights except for the second ammendment. It's very sad to see people support it. Especially when they are certain they are right.

Look at our country. What have we become? Everyone hates us. We hardly have any rights left. And, the only positive effect of this war is the bigger pockets corporations are recieving.

I believe that the military is a necessity, but should be used to defend our country, not to invade others and control land.

Our government has too much control! We can't even fulfill our duties as American citizens in accordance with the Constitution of the United States.

1st ammendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

People protest and get arrested and/or beaten.

4th Ammendment:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Patriot Act

9th Ammendment:
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Again, Patriot Act

15th, 19th, 24th,and 26th ammendment:
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude--

Yep I'm still here.

The conservative in this country has made some tough choices over the last few years. Side with the New Right Republicans or the political left. While I don't like the New Right I can't abide by the political left, so I unfortunately have to choose the wrong which is more right.

I stand by G-Dub because he is my President, just as I would stand by a Clinton or a Kennedy. However, I will do everything in my power to bring conservatism back to my country. I support the Libertarian Party, but I am pragmatic enough to know that in the previous elections, voting 3rd party would have elected Gore or Kerry, and those by far were the wrong choice.

I don't believe that all your examples go against conservative ideology. I don't mind a little loss of privacy I have nothing to hide. We also understand, as pragmatists, that our government has checks and balances and no President is going to get too out of hand. When they cross that line they are going against MY constitution and there will be retribution. I believe that G-Dub has walked that line but I don't see that he hasn't done it in my best interest. When I see real evidence of this and not conspiracy theory or liberal biased rhetoric I will act.

The conservative is at heart pragmatic and weathers tides better than the liberal. So yes we still exist trying to choose that wrong which is most right.

That is exactly my point, Nixon did something that probably every other President before him did, he just got caught and he was run out of office. Exactly our checks and balances working. Just because "it seems" to you a little privacy = a little pregnant (which you can't even spell, who needs to go back to school?) doesn't necessarily make it so. Again, the NSA has been "listening" to our communications since it's inception, this administration just told you they were going to do it. This President did make promises that he didn't keep, who's that like? Oh just every other world leader ever put into office.

And to sum it up you make accusations gathered from some conspiracy theory website, just like I told you I wasn't interested in. It was Mr Gore that took the case to the supreme court and he was overruled. Bush was not given the job by them, his victory was upheld by them.

In your original question. You state, "try to respond with a fact or too (I assume you meant 'two') and keep the personal (which you spelled perosonal) attacks clean, they only hurt your credibility" then here you are attacking personally my opinion and saying I am uneducated. I dont believe at any time my opinion was a personal attack on you. Hypocrite much? Hows you credibility Tool?

I exist, and I believe in limited government and keeping the National Guard out of the President's hands without state authorization. Signing statements are unconstitutional, I agree, as is the SPP agreement Bush signed with the heads of Canada and Mexico.

Tell me, when does a 'contract between governments' not become a treaty that needs congressional vote?
