So sorry . . .I guess each answer says this-you gotta use wax, hon! I have been given my braces on 2 weeks in the past and am somewhat shrink up, yet for the two cuts I actually are turning out to be, I used wax. yet wax isn't a drugs like orajel or tylenol, it basically . . .wax! To shorten your "wax-on" time attempt doing this: positioned wax on and drink ice-chilly water, it is going to numb the shrink. rather wish I helped!!!!!

Hard candy - or tootsie roll pops. (actually any kind of sucker) - I have to be careful or I'll cut my toungue.

Also - sour dough bread - if the crust is hard - will rip up the roof of my mouth. Hate that!

Every time I eat Froot Loops the top of my mouth gets cut. But I love them anyway.
