When you go to these stadiums like Oakland and San Francisco (Candelstick)... You will always notice that what ever the lay out of the stadium there is always a rectangular shape to part of the main field... This is usually because its used for both football and baseball. The stand in San Francisco get pulled out from what use to be the right field area. In Oakland they have built a huge Mt. Davis and they bring stands into the colisuim that are stored in the parking lot area to connect the HUGE section for football.

Never the less these stadiums are a dying breed... the days a of a multifunctional use stadium are things of the past... San Francisco and Oakland should do what NY does... Share a Stadium. This will give the stadium more usage then just having one team there during football season...

Well, have you ever wondered why some parts of the field don't have grass while watching a football game? Now you know, just watch a Dolphins game and see for yourself. As for the configuration, the seating is expandable and they use various walls to change the look. Its not the perfect situation, but a better use of public funds I think since they only play 8-12 football games a year at each stadium.

Just readjust the seating. They just move sections of the seating as some can actually go in or some just gets moved to another area that fits the dimension or the situation. Alot of the lower section in stadiums are able to be adjusted due to concerts, baseball/football like you stat or motorcross and so forth. They have to keep the money rolling in those beasts.

Depends on which stadium. on some stadiums like Minnesota after a baseball game they would take thw outfield walls down and then pull the rightfield seats out. They take the bases off and just paint the white football lines. I really dont know how else to explain it. thats all they do!
