Doctor said I have nerve damage in my foot in ankle. (Tarsal Tunel) He said the best thing to do is to have my foot placed in a fiberglass or plaster cast from my toes to my knee for 8 weeks. I have an appointment next wensday to have it done. I really dont want to be in another cast.

You are going to have to listen to your doctor and do as he suggests if you want to get better.
My son has been in casts off and on for the 2 years he's been on this earth. If he can handle it for all the time that he has, surely a grown woman can as well.

You could go to the ER and fake that your ankle is hurting. What most hospital emergency rooms will do is give you an ortho-glass (half-cast) wrapped around with an ace bandage. You can take it off and put it on whenever you want. The ER doc will tell you to "make an appt. with your doctor next week to get a real cast put on." You dont have to call and the best part about it, is you got a cast that can help you and be removed.

Listen to your doctor and quit whinning! My hubby had to work doing carpentry on scaffolding in a cast for 8 weeks 36 years ago, and now at 60 his leg doesnt bother him at all. A doctor recently told him if his doc hadnt done that he'd have terrible arthritis now !!!! And that can ruin your life!!! By the way he's still so sexy that girls in their 20s still flirt with him -- so 60 isnt old!!!
