Get a spray bottle and fill it with straight white vinegar, set the bottle to 'stream' and squirt right in the middle of the weed. This is what I do in my yard, they die within a couple of days and you can pull them right out easily.

I use Roundup for spot weed control, if I can't pull up or dig up the weed first.
If you've got a yard ful of dandelions, I would use something like Scott's turf builder with a weed control. Follow the instructions, wet the lawn. Apply in weather where it's at least 70 degrees and no rain expected for a few days.

Vinegar. I just deweeded an entire yard on dandelions in minutes by buying "Grampa's Weeder" at QVC.com--One of the best inexpensive tools I bought.

Use either a weed and feed fertilizer or a spray on weed killer listed for dandelion.

I don't. I really like those little yellow dots of color in my grass. There's nothing quite so boring as a plane of plain old green grass and no flowers at all. You may as well pave and paint as to have that.
Dandelions, wild violets, wild asters, daisys, even creeping charlie...a healthy lawn has more than a single type of plant in it.

white vinegar works great but so does bleach..even the cheapest....they will die then you can pull them up...and do go ahead & pull them up because they are tough critters to get rid of. you can also use white vinegar or tide (dry)to get rid of moss on your roof or sidewalk...works great...good luck

You can make wine from those things so if you find, a drunk in your neighborhood whom you can enlighten as to how to make a dandy lion wine, you may have your problem permanently solved.
