Knowing that despite all of the terrible things going on, there are still several billion people that wake up, do their job, and go home at the end of the day, without hearing car bombs, armies clashing, catching a waterborne disease, wasting away a little more from starvation, or drowning in the tidal surge of a cyclone.
That sort of normalcy never makes the news.
