have you ever came to the maximum level of your brain useage? can you even get to a hier level

Technically, you use 100% of your brain. that "15% statistic only refers to the part of the brain used for cognitive abilities. You use your brain for more than that, including, but not limited to, processing the five senses, homeostasis (making sure your body's chemestry is correct), involentary muscles, etc.

I personally do not believe in "higher funtions" in a metaphysical sense. Thought and consciousness are as high as you're going to get.

It all depends usually a days work with breaks will do it. The brain really can only take so much information at a time. After that you might start not paying attention or side tracking.
