Abortion hurts women. Abortion hurts men. Abortion hurts the unborn. Abortion is murder.
Why women have abortions:
1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).
There is a political agenda in this country that wants you to believe abortion is needed because of rape cases, however that is not true. It's because of the aforementioned 93%, that it's supporters don't want you to know about.

What is so bad is that it has become an option instead of a last resort. Too many young people believe that it is OK and then are less careful they use it as birth control. I believe that it is taking a life. There have been studies that prove that these babies feel pain as early as six weeks gestation. I dont think that people should be given choice on everything. We are not given a choice on whether our children are educated, it is mandatory (and yes Im sure there are still some parents out there that think the government should not interfere in this.) We are required to provide health care for our children when they are sick or it is called negligence (there have been several cases of parents facing charges for refusing treatment for their children due to religious reasons.) Why is it OK to abort them before they are born? By the end of the first trimester (the cut off point for most abortions) the doctor can usually tell the gender of the baby. Medicaid pays for surgery on these babies invitro if it is medically necessary. They can do heart surgery in vitro for babies who are having problems, they do surgery to correct twin to twin transfusion. Parents spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in hospital bills to care for their infants when they are born preemie and the survival rates for infants after 24 weeks gestation are incredible. Why is it OK for someone to throw this life away when others spend thousands of dollars and try desperately to save them. How can people not recognize this as life.

Every abortion kills an innocent human being. Before most women even know they are pregnant (3 weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating. Killing innocent people, regardless of their size, is wrong.

I have to agree that abortion should not be used as a form of birth control. I personally would not have one but i have the means to give a baby a life. There are different reasons for each mother to go through with it. For those who choose to look beyond reason and automatically criticize, imagine if the already overwhelmed Department of Chidlren and Families had to deal with that many more unwanted children. And, studies have proven that giving a child up for adoption is worse on the mother emotionally than an abortion.

Well- I got pregnant in highschool and some people thought I should get an abortion. I'm looking at my precious 6 year old right now and know she is a unique person that only had one chance to get to this earth. An abortion would have erased her whole existence. That is why I don't beleive in abortion.

You are taking a life!! If the person that is thinking about abortion would think about adoption it would be a better choice atleast the child has a chance to live. Also there are so many people that can't have children.

Are you considering this or is someone else you know? My best friend had an abortion a few years ago and then I myself became pregnant a few months later. She was so upset seeing me with my baby. She became very depressed and actually needed counciling. I look at my child and could not imagine killing her. That is exactly what abortion is...... KILLING A CHILD! A child that did nothing wrong!!!

you tell me? do you see anything wrong with it? are you looking for someone to tell you its ok? if you think abortion is right than I would like to know why? whats so great about it? what does it solve? I lost twin boys in June of 06 due to preterm labor(still hurts me to this day, i wanted them) and i personally dont understand why people chose abortion, There are so many other options you can chose from. I myself would rather know my child is alive and living in a home with a loving family than have the guilt of what i did or the thoughts of what my child would have been like.

Because you are killing an innocent human being who has no choice in the matter. It's not the baby's fault that you got pregnant. Be more careful, get on birth control. Believe me, I know **** happens. I was on birth control and just found at the end of January that I'm pregnant. Don't kill the baby, if you aren't ready then give it up for adoption. There are lot's of infertile couples who would love to adopt.

okay so that's a bit harsh, but it is how I see it, both are the same, the only difference is the moher has at least some means to protect herself, the baby doesn't.
