Ok ive tried bleach, ammonia, comet cleanser, those bleach tablets, blue formulas, Spray toilet bowl cleaners, CLR, lime remover, boric acid, I even tried that new product thats supposed to really work well(dont remember what its called tho- not that shower maid thing though), I even tried Vinegar and it doesnt come off. I'm like this close to using a pumice stone(a friend used that before he moved out of his apt and out of state lol!) but that will scratch and make things worse the next time around.

Please give me some serious help here. sulfuric acid comes to mind but im scared of that!

I'm going bonkers!

thanks!

How many cans of soda? i know it rips the paint off cars but ive had vinegar and other stuff sit there and nothing happens.

So far my next step is baking soda like one of you mentioned.

How the hell do i get sulfuric acid though.

I looked for Harpic and not available in USA .only available in Europe.

I tried The Works Toilet cleaner with hydrochloric acid and it does some but not all.
CLR doesnt seem to cut it. Its not rust its just dirt ring.
sigh!

I've had the same problem until I tried some "Bar Keepers Friend" that I used on my stainless steel sink & my pots & pans. Try to get as much water out of the bowl and then sprinkle some on and scrub with your toilet brush. This works great on the rust-like ring and stripes down the side of the bowl, plus it doesn't smell bad. Good luck!!!!!!!

DO NOT use boiling or hot water. It will melt the wax seal at the base of the toilet and you'll get a big leak.
Probably the best thing to do is, replace the toilet! It is not too hard to do. Plus, a new toilet uses less water, which is good for the environment.

Have you tryed sprinkling Comet (powder or gel) or Zud into your commode, & letting it set for a while, then use your toilet brush on the area before flushing? I have found both to work really well. If you have never used Zud, you can find it in the grocery store or at Wal* Mart. Good luck!!!!

coca cola isn't strong enough for what you want to do. If you clean your toilet regularly you wont have this problem. Sulfuric acid is what I use. You need to be wearing protective gear when using(eye, gloves.respirator) let soak about 20 min then scrub with green scrub pad. Remember the harder you scrub the more long term damage you do to porcelin. You will have to repeat process several times be it gets clean

I used this cheap crap from Dollar General called The works toilet bowl cleaner. The website is www.TheWorksWorks.com
I put it in several nights in a row and it worked like a charm. Good luck

I used pool acid on a toilet that would not come clean. I spent 2 years trying to get rid of that ring and my friend suggested pool acid. It did the trick. Wear gloves....

Remove the telephone..ha ha...stained ceramic is a dog to clean....you have to remove the stains from within the ceramic itself..heat may do it...close the water inlet..flush it and dump boiling water into it with liquid soap.....this will take several times to warm up the ceramic to a decent level...may just work....may just crack the ceramic if the temp. swing is too great..work the heat up slowlyyyyyyyy....and do not use the hair dryer to help heat the water...lmao....It should withstand the temp...I cook the bathtub constantly with hot water...

Sounds like you covered alot of bases already. It may be a rust ring.....you can try "Rust Ease". It is sold at local plumbing supply here. Can probably find on the internet. Do a search on: nextag.com
Good Luck
