I am a 20 year old plus-size female interested in 'exotic dancing'. Does anyone have any POSITIVE advice or opinions? What city is best for such a thing? I live near Seattle, WA. What skills would be good to have? How much do you get paid? Would guys really want to see plus-size women strip!?

A few years ago I went with some guys to a strip club in Santa Maria, California. Most of the strippers were darn close to perfect Barbie dolls, but they had one girl there who was a plus size and VERY curvaceous. According to the head waitress and the bouncer, she was by far the most popular stripper there. So I say go for it if that's what you really want to do. You'll probably need to find a place that offers classes in pole dancing and/or exotic dancing, and since you live near Seattle why not try to get a job at one of the joints there? Never know until you try...

I don't know of any places, but I know some men do like plus size girls, and I'm also glad there are no negative comments here yet..
I say if you find a place that isn't trashy, and has some class Go for it Girl, I'm also plus size, and more power to you if you can work it, I'd try for it too if I weren't so shy.. lol..
Hope you find a place, you might just be the most popular dancer at some club sometime in the near future..

i am plus sized. all i have to say to you is YOU GO GIRL. you shake whatever god gave you and be happy with your choice.i myself have a low self esteem and would never dream of doing that. but i am glad you are. to many pencil women out there. we need more real women in the dancing scene. good luck with everything.

Some men do prefer full-figured women, but you are going to have trouble finding a club. I have worked as a dancer for years, and have seen so many beautiful women turned down for an audition simply because of their size ("unmarketable").
I don't know about Seattle, but in the South, there are many clubs with strictly plus-sized dancers. Just go to some of the clubs in your area, check out the dancers and customers, and ask for an audition if you feel comfortable.

I think that plus size gals are beautiful. If they are attractive and keep themselves groomed good and smell nice, there's no more beautiful woman.
