Your better quit smoking cold turkey if you want your baby to be healthy...!

If you are having a really hard time quitting, you should try something like Nicorette. I heard it is really good, but you better ask your doctor.

I think that you should try to quit cold turkey but if you can't it is better to quit slowly than not to quit at all. I had a friend that smoked and when she found out she was pregnant she quit cold turkey because every time you inhale it is like putting you hand over your baby's mouth for 9 second and she kept picturing this and it made her quit hope this helps and good luck to you!!!

I just quit cold turkey but it was easy for me because I only smoked like 1 or 2 a day anyways.

COLD TURKEY....Yes it is hard...but if you love that baby.....you will quit smoking. Slowly quitting is very hard to do, and ppl typically have no success at that. Just go for it cold turkey, and find a activity to do when you want that cigarette...maybe walking...this way the exercise you get you ready for delivery later. Good luck, I wish you the best.

I smoked for 15 yrs and quit cold turkey the day i found out i was pregnant. it actually wasn't hard at all, which was surprising as i'd tried to quit at least 6 times before. i never even wanted a cigarette, truthfully, and later the smell was nauseating (i hope the same for you because it makes it sooo easy!). Earlier on though, when I normally would have smoked, i went for a walk instead. exercise really helped. I honestly think i missed caffeine more than nicotine those first few weeks! good luck - you really can do it!!

ok smoking while pregnant is not good at all and i do advise that you quit. do not do it cold turkey though cuz it can put your body through withdrawals and it will not be healthy for you or the baby. try and make yourself a goal and work towards it. depending on how many you smoke now. also you can ask your doctor for help on what to do. quitting is not an easy task but now you have a reason to quit so bwtween you and your baby to be you can get it done. Good luck.........Oh yeah and congrats to you

Hey i smoked brfore i was pregnant for along time and when i found i was pregnant i decided to quit but i didnt want to just quit cold turkey, what i did was i just smoked 1 to 2 cigs everyday for a week and then that weekend i gave them away. Its not as hard as just quiting to me. I still want one every now and then but when u c ur baby on the ultrasound and hear its heart beat u will relize that its all worth it.

CONGRATS on the pregnancy!!

To your question:

Well what do you think?

Quit cold turkey..... smoking less is not quitting.

It will be so hard, but just think about your developing baby's body everytime you light up. If your child we born right now, would you give them a smoke? No, so dont do it at all.

Best of luck to you.

Just quit. I smoked for about 12 years before I got pregnant and, seriously, I didn't even want one after I got pregnant. It wasn't hard at all. Just don't buy anymore. Also, if you decide to breastfeed (which I hope you do) you won't want to smoke while you're nursing. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
