Sounds like it so good luck - if you're not already in labour! I didn't have a sweep with the last baby but I had a great show - but nothing happened for over 6 days later so I hope things move faster for you! All the best!x

Just adding an edit - just to say I am feeling very emotional now!! Just remembering the excitement and feelings that I went through when going into labour. Absolutely magical times. No other feeling comes close. The real labour is hard going but the build up - just can't describe it! x

They ask you in case you have lost your plug formerly you have your membrane sweep, and the midwife (registrar nurse) could have defined all the achievable effects from having the sweep performed. The issues they permit you be attentive to is: you may lose your plug (in case you haven't any longer already) you're turning out to be a bloody instruct you may journey a swelling sensation, it being warmer down there than popular, cramping, and discomfort weeing. in addition they help you be attentive to that it basically has a 50% danger of working. If it does paintings, you will flow into labour interior 40 8 hours. If no longer, you could need an appointment to be led to. the place i'm, they do no longer in many circumstances do membrane sweeps til you're already late. i'm getting mine performed on Thursday. (Yaay! One step closer!) I had my membrane sweep with my first being pregnant, and went into labour 35 hours later, so i'm awaiting tremendously lots an identical this time around. good success consisting of your start. i wish all of it is going nicely.

It is indeed a show! I had the sweep then had a show was also 1cm dilated, then my contractions started for a few hours but stopped which was so frustrating! However I was awoken next morning by heavier contractions and my little boy was born just 4 hours later. Good luck!!!!xx

P.S The bloody looky jelly is basically the 'plug' coming away from the entrance to the womb and usually encourages things to start!! xx
