I am planning to take a cruise in Jan 2008 and would like to know a nice clean hotel close to the port of miami. I would only be staying one night before going on a cruise ship.

The Holiday Inn at the Port of Miami. It sits directly across the street from the Bay and Bay Area Market, so there's plenty to do, see, and eat there. The price is reasonable considering the area, and the taxi ride to the port is about $8. I haven't stayed there, but I have read PLENTY of reviews on tripadvisor.com and cruisecritic.com. A lot of people stay here pre-cruise. We are booked for later this year there for our post-cruise Miami stay. Check out tripadvisor.com for reviews... I dont know the price but walking distance from Navy Pier is a Best Western right on the corner...good location.
