question concerning the iPod. . .?

How do you upload someone's (not yours) music from iTunes onto your iPod without synching it or erasing what is already on the iPod? I thought I knew how, but I tried and it didn't work.

That person must have the autosync preference turned off in itunes. Then anyone can plug in their ipod and take their music. If you were to plug your ipod into my computer, you could take all the music you wanted and it wouldn't mess with anything.
I share music all the time this way.
