Would it be OK to wear brands like Apple Bottoms, Roca Wear, Baby Phat for a white girl? I like some of their tops/jeans but not sure if it's ok to buy and wear them to club and etc.

Girl, those are businesses. The only color they should be worried about is green. Now those brands are marketed to black people, and you might get some stares or rolled eyes from people if you wear them, but I think you should do your thing. If you like it, wear it. I've seen black people rock pac-sun, abercrombie and american eagle, so why not? Oh, one more thing. Apple Bottoms were made for a reason, so if you don't "need" them, you might draw more negative looks and comments.

I think everybody can wear holister,American Eagle, Aeropostale, and those sorts of store brands. I think you just feel uncomfortable because you don't see many people of that race walking around wearing those brands. No matter what anybody says it doesn't matter what race you are there is no style or brand that is just for one race. Certain brands may be advertised more towards one race, but that doesn't mean that you can't wear that brand.

Alysse, get real! If anyone tells you that you cannot wear something because it is for "blacks only," that is racist and wrong and plain stupid. If you like these clothing brands, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing them. Sure, some people might say stupid things like you're "trying to be black" or call you a mean name like a "wigger," but if you like it and it's what you wanna do, then do it and to heck with anyone else who wants to control your life. Can you imagine a black person asking if it is OK to wear Levi's and Bobbie Brooks?

No, Clothes are clothes, race doesn't matter at all. Wear what you want and like to wear. Clothing is about attitude, personality, and expression not what race you are. Besides, the company don't care what race you are as long as you buy their items. Just relax, be comfortable with yourself, and don't care with others think. I' am black and I wear A&E, Abercrombie, and Hollister.
