I have many friends who are gay. This is a legit question as to a possible medical reason so idiots will stop the "you can change back to normal if you really tried" stupidity.

I saw a show on your own twin. These people had two different DNA in their bodies. The medical reasoning is they had a twin but very, very, very early in the pregnancy, they "obsorbed" their twin.

There was a woman who failed the DNA test for her own child before they finally found a second DNA hiding in her cells that matched her child.

What if the twin was the opposite sex? Could this be the "medical reasoning" behind homosexuality?

Just a thought. As I said in the beginning, could this explain medically because I'm tired of idiots saying homosexuality is a choice.

I am not talking about a cure or abnormalty. I'm talking about a normal, natural situation that maybe more prevelent than realized because they have just started to find people who have 2 DNA's.

I just feel if it could be shown medically that it's normal and healthy, the idiots would stop the nonsense about against God's Plan.

A vanishing twin is a fetus in a multi-gestation pregnancy which dies in utero and is then partially or completely reabsorbed by the mother.

According to some researchers, vanishing twins occur in up to one out of every eight pregnancies.

The vanishing twin syndrome has been cited by biotech company Acu-Gen as an ad hoc hypothesis to explain false results of the company's Baby Gender Mentor test. According to the company, on occasions where their pregnancy gender test has apparently given the incorrect gender of the fetus, the apparent mistake can be explained by a fetus having been present at the time of testing, but later being reabsorbed as a vanished twin.

I had never heard of that before, but I like to research genetics. It seems logical to me that this could be true.
My brother is gay, and before he was born, my mother miscarried twins ( a girl and a boy). We believe that in her pregnancy with him, the other twin was present, but died very early in the pregnancy. Ever since he was young though...he has been gay (he obviously didn't go around kissing boys at the age of 5, but we knew he was different).
Another person who recently came into our lives is gay and her situation is the same. She was a twin, and is the only surviving one out of the pregnancy. She is also gay.
I find it logical to assume that this could have set the biological makeup to have that duality and in turn...it is also logical to assume that it is a big reason why they are gay.
It is not always a choice to be gay. For those of you who don't understand that, you would if you knew somebody who was gay.

While I applaud your thinking outside the box, the answer to your question is no.

Given the base rate of homosexuality (likely somewhere between 2% and 10%), your hypothesis would mean that a ton of people out there had absorbed a zygotic twin, which I understand to be a rather rare occurrence.

There is no "medical explanation" for heterosexuality, so why does there need to be a "medical explanation" for homosexuality? It is not a disorder and there is no "cure." It is simply a natural variation of the human sexual response.

I suggest that you get used to idiots saying that homosexuality is a choice. They have simply stopped all thinking about the issue and nothing you say will matter. They have all the answers they want, and any evidence or ideas that might challenge their answers will be immediately discarded by their complacent minds.

It is only after they discover that they have a gay or lesbian friend, sibling, child, or self that their assumptions will be sufficiently disequilibriated to accommodate a change in the way they understand and perceive homosexuality.

(Which is why coming out is one of the best things GLBT people can do to increase social acceptance of GLBT persons.)

No.
One show does not counter the many studies that demonstrate that LGBT people (and straight people) are born that way.

There is nothing wrong with being exactly as you were created, and acting upon that natural inborn sexuality.

I wish people would stop trying to "cure" something that is not an "illness" nor a "choice." Then they would be truly be acting like a "christian."

It is an interesting theory but I doubt thats the reason. Just look at all the twins that are born together. Are they gay with each other? That doesn't really make sense. I agree that homosexuality is not a choice but don't know that we'll ever figure out why some people are gay and some are not. Who are we to judge?

I firmly believe my homosexuality is not biological. I firmly believe that my homosexuality is psychological, modified behavior, filtered and refined and readapting to a lot of things up in my psychic. I haven't went to bed with a man for a long long time, yet it is a controversy that lays deep in the labyrinth and bubbling pits of my mind. Here is the contradiction I have to deal with, it has become such a personal issue: I like women more than I like men, yet, sexually I enjoy myself and that is not taboo ****,nor nonsense, I have been seeing a psychiatrist and psychologist and have been taking medication for clinical depression for over six years, and I indicate this for the simple point of this sexual self love I have for me, myself and no one else. I know, it is weird huh, but it's all modification over the years, and I cannot see myself in a relationship with either sex, though the possibility is there, it is my body as if it was possessed that tells me no, I am in this for myself and I know, that is how all of this has worked out. Go figure.

You're talking about a Chimera (as described on CSI).

Do you spend your days trying to find an explanation for why roses are red or why sunsets are so pretty? Wouldn't you rather just enjoy them?
