You should be fine as long as its not a lot of weight your losing...i lost 5lbs ...and didn't gain any weight till i was seven months... i didn't have morning sickness or anything.. and i still had a very healthy baby (8lbs 2oz). Your doc will let you know if your losing too much weight!

Good luck

Due to morning sickness, it is common to lose weight during the first trimester. I gained nothing at all until 20 weeks, and now at 26 weeks, I've actually lost 2 pounds. However, my doctor tells me my baby is healthy and I take my vitamins daily. Be sure to take your vitamins and try to eat healthy, small meals throughout the day. As your pregnancy progresses, you might also lose some weight like I did. This is because the baby is pushing up on your organs, making less room everywhere inside. I end up feeling full faster and have to snack even more frequently! If your doctor is not concerned, you shouldnt' be either. Good luck and congrats!

we're due the same day.. i thought the 4th of sept but they updated it at my first ultrasound to 8/30/09. I've got gestational diabetes too.. and though they'll most likely get you into a program to give you an individualized meal plan, just watch your carbs most importantly... im only allowed 30 - 45 per meal and 15 - 30 per snack.. because of this diet i've actually LOST weight during this pregnancy and they said it was ok and that it would even out.. they said it's healthy so long as you arent trying to lose weight... I think you'll be alright.. but if you want to get in sooner.. the 30th seems really far away >< just call and ask if there are cancellations and if you can be seen sooner.. Good luck I hope everything goes smoothly

First of all Congrats! Second, losing weight during the first two trimesters is common. Just as long as you are eating properly you should be fine. I didn't gain any weight until I was 6 months pregnant with my first two sons. And then one day I woke up and couldn't see my feet. Just make sure you keep all of you prenatal appointments and take good care of yourself.

Totally normal. I'm in my 4th month with twins, and in the first 3mos. I lost about 5lbs or so. Once I hit my 2nd trimester, I've aleady gained back the weight and I'm sure I've gained more since I went to the doctor's. LOL
Relax, and don't stress over weight issues. You'll be gaining more than you ever wanted to soon enough.
Good luck, and congrats! :)

Its ok, some women do lose weight during the first trimester and some have "morning sickness" through and only gain small amounts of weight. Each women is different, but as long as you are eating healthy and your dr is concerned, then you and your baby will be fine.

Count yourself lucky that you aren't packing them on. I gained 48 lbs with my son and he is 6 months old and I'm still trying to get rid of it all

Yes it is normal for you to loose weight the first three months of pregnancy. Your body is getting use to the new life that is now living inside you. If your stomach can handle it drink insure they taste really good and that will help you gain some weight. That's if you can keep it down. I understand you totally I have two children and was sick both time all nine months! Good luck! God Bless!

When I was pregnant, both times I lost weight at the start. I had a lot of nausea and vomitting and felt as if I couldn't eat. After the first trimester everything went fine, and I gained weight as normal.

Congratulations on your Pregnancy!!!

Yes, depending on how much you weigh, it is very possible to lose weight during the first few months of pregnancy, especially if you have morning sickness.

Make sure you are eating healthy, there is no need to eat for 2... The baby only needs proper nutrition...

Always talk to your doctor, if you have concerns, but for the most part, you are probably very normal.

Good Luck!!!
