No money makes life pretty tough! My husband spent 9 of the last 12 months laid off of work, but we get by and we love each other. I would say that you appreciate life more when you don't have money than if you are loaded!
So I would have to say yes, it is pretty close to the root of evil, look at the horrible things people will do to one another and themselves for money!

Technically, "love of money is the root of all evil".

Money is not evil. People's desire to gain money, or power, or some other form of gain, and not stopping to consider the consequences of their actions is the root of the vast majority of evil.

An obsession with anything is unhealthy. Money is just one example. It's your state of mind that makes you happy or unhappy. It's not how much money you have. It's what you think is most important in life.

i dont know but im in houston, tx right now for the first time and in no other place that i have been have i seen such extremities of our society..from the poor pushing their "gold" around in shopping carts to people in lux cars speeding to a new destination..i dunno..its crazy..inequality is cruel but will always exist..how do we lessen the gap??
