There are many people in the world that are sure that they know everything and have all the answers. Through lack of experience, they only 'assume' what should be done in particular situations, so they lack empathy for others & therefore judge them against an imaginary standard. You typically find these people to be judgemental, condesending, and holier-than-thou because they think they ARE BETTER than everyone else.

I'm guilty! I am a quick decisive person. Sometimes, I am just t-totally wrong. On yahoo Q/A's emotion in the written word cannot be expressed unless one writes like this.

I saw an ugly (well not ugly but beauty challenged for sure) I would be writing for hours if I had to express what I mean by ugly. Where if I were facing you and describing ugly then you would know from my facial features that I didn't mean GAGGING UGLY... That is how (on here) opinions are formed and it is certainly not fair.

In real life judgments are made in the heat of anger or the heat of lust. We, as humans, don't take that extra moment to read this person before we decide. Shame on us for surely we have omitted some really good/great people from our lives by those quick judgment calls.

When people judge others, it is not always logically. We all have some experiences in life on the basis of which we generalize people like over friendly people are not reliable , talkative people cant hold a secret etc So, depending on certain actions of a person, people go ahead & place him in one of the categories & then their mind is goverened by the assumptions for that category. This might not be a true pic of him .To know an individual & judge him/her properly requires lot of time, patience & understanding . Not always, people want to make that much effort so opinions for millions go biased .

People have to always make judgements, even about people. It becomes second nature and when the worth of a person is called to account, then they make a judgement regardless if they are entitled to or not. It is a quirk of human nature.

This can be the case when defense mechanism is at work. It is a folly to put yourself in the shoes of others and sit on judgment chair without considering other factors in mind like time place race and the social environment.

I think people are so quick to judge others because if they can find faults with in others then it makes their views of them selves higher and it improves their selfesteem.

people that are quick to judge usually have this "holier than though" attitude of themselves, and unfortuneatly have a very closed mind.
