Give yourself time, trust me, its actually good that you havent rushed into things before you were ready. When the time comes, and you meet someone you are comfortable enough around, youll know because it will feel right. However, nothings wrong with dating someone and just having fun with them, or having a girl to hang out with. Do that at first, since you haven't done a lot of dating its a better way to start out, and let things progress from there. Example: if you know any cool girls who you think would be fun to hang around with and you share the same things in common, ask them to hang out one weekend. Good luck.

Hey, i'm 19 years old. lol Anyways, don't be afraid to talk to a girl. Just be yourself and that should be more than enough. I suggest being just their friend first before asking them out. Happy early Birthday! :)

Look for a friend. That's how its supposed to go, a girlfriend should be someone who you can share your feelings with and support you when you need it. It should be possible for you to reciprocate this. So, I say look for a friend, someone who shares/respects your hobbies and the things you like to do, and someone who likes and dislikes are things you enjoy/respect and let things happen naturally.
