Is there much of a differnce in these? I need one of these for a leopard gecko, and was wandering if one is better then the other. The Exo-terra Heat wave or the Zoo-med? (these are both undertank heaters) and also if I have one of these, is it still necisarry to have a basking lamp? (Im using a 10 gallon) THANKS

not much difference in the two performance wise, but i have six (6) snakes and i use all zoo med except for one of the six tanks, i purchased the Heat wave second to check them out as it was a little cheaper, but i was happier with the way the zoo-med UTH (under tank heater) was made it just seemed more sturdy and seemed to stick to the tank better. as for a basking light i would recommend YES but do research online to find out, you can check this website http://www.newenglandreptile.com/CareLeo.html
