How do you change the domain to allow a certain website's email to come through?

I am signing up for an online college course. They say sometimes that the emails from Yahoo get bounced back. I am supposed to change the yahoo domain to allow this particular website's emails. Whats a domain? How do I change it to allow something?

You can't change the settings, it's an administrative thing at your school. Your solution is simple, though. Go to a domain name registrar that offers email as an included package in a domain name registration, register a domain name, and use their tools to set up a mailbox that you can use.
