I presently live on the 17th floor, it's pretty high, but i would like to go higher, i have an opportunity to go to the 32nd floor, over-looking the toronto skyline. I have had to walk up 17 stories a few times so far,(elevator problems), and it was no picnic, i'm worried about these kind of problems, what has been your experiences?

If you are in good health, I think I would go for the 32nd floor apt., since you want to, and the view has gotta be awesome!

What is the percentage of times you have had to use the stairs compared to how often the elevator, or how often has it happened per year? Is this apt. in same building? if not, try to find out how often the new building has these problems.

Also, is there a friend who lives lower, same building or elsewhere, that you could stay with on those rare occasions there is an elevator or power problem?

If it happens more than twice a year, then I would definitely rethink it ... even the 17th floor!

The highest floor I have ever lived on was the 3rd floor.
I never had a problem with the stairs.
