Cheney claims he's questioning Pelosi's judgement, not her patriotism. But it seems Cheney is continuing his tack of questioning everyone who disagrees with the Administration by insinuating they're not being good Americans by offering their dissent publicly. What do you think about Cheney's tactics?

It is part of the Administration's propaganda machine. Instead of bolstering their side they have to tear down the other. It is the way they work. If they talk issues or substance they lose so what else can they do.

Also:
Hermann Goering, Hitler's Propaganda Minister said, " Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism , and exposing the country to greater danger".

I think these are two people who fundamentally do not like each other, and are no longer making a pretense about . Cheney is at a point in his political career, and life, where he doesnt seem to care about being civil anymore; he is just going to tell you how he feels. Pelosi (and others like her) tend to make snide, backhanded comments that give you the impression that she has insulted you, but you are really not quite sure. Those people tend to smile at your face, then stab you in the back. Cheney no longer has the time (nor the inclination) to play those kinds of games. Is Pelosi being un-patriotic? Its all in the eye of the beholder, but if I were a soldier in Iraq, I would have to wonder if this type of leadership is really worth fighting for.

Cheney is a true patriot. Pelosi's dissent is political and not an expression of a thought out position. Pelosi offers no alternitive.

Awe, poor Nancy. When she is in the house bashing this adminstration, she is called the Speaker of the House. When Cheney questions her judgements, she is merely a woman, and no longer the speaker. That mean ol' Cheney. How dare a man verbably attack a woman. She cried. Her mascara ran. She is 2nd in line to run this country, and she is crying over some words. Bless her heart.

Why is it everytime a Republican questions a Democrat about their policy the Dem attacks back saying that you're questioning my patriotism!

BTW, you can't support the troops and not their mission. That's so much double talk, and outright insulting.

I love the fact that the VP is doing this, and san fran Nan may be smart, but Cheney is Darth Vader! Actually he's very intelligent and well spoken. She will have a hard time shaking the image of cut and run. Along with all the other Dems.

This is going to cost them politically.

I am amazed...Liberals can stand on the floor of the House of representatives and call this administration liars, war criminals, oil berrons, etc...But when someone in the administration say they question a liberals "judgement" then they all jump on him/her for using unfair tactics in a war of words. An old proverb from childhood starts out as "Sticks and stones might break my bones...". I hope we can get some grown-ups in the offices of authority soon.

I don't understand any of this. This is America. The place that from way way back people have fought and died so that we can even be having this discussion. Everyone has the right to think what they want. His tactics are no different from hers. They are all the same, POLITICIANS.

Questioning the Adiminstration is not a the problem when you start to pass resolutions denouncing what you are doing and threatening to cut of funds for troops on the ground is not questioning.
