someone could be butt ugly but their little box picture could be mad pretty...or if their obese...and have a skinny a pic of themselves..OR they could be a guy pretending to be a girl...scary...o_o

If you mean the avatars--no, they don't always look like the people they represent. For example, I got my hair cut in September but I couldn't find a short hairstyle I liked, so my avatar still has a ponytail. My sister goes even further: she has a fave avatar saved from every ethnic group. And I know there are some girls on here with guy avis (I don't know about any guys with girl avis). The guys really do have cooler stuff in some areas, like they have black or red angel wings as well as the white ones, and their hairstyles look much more realistic than the girl 'dos.
Mostly, though, I think people try to make their avatars look like them. That's why we now have maternity, plus-size, and holding-a-baby gear, and guys can have a bald head instead of hair. (See what I mean? Girls can't even have gray hair, let alone shave their heads!)
