There is no particular best brand in make-up. it all depends on your skin type, skin color and skin texture. What would be best for your skin might be different from other people. Some people think cheap brands like maybelline or loreal sucks compared to expensive brands like Nars or Shu Uemura. It is all a matter of preference.
Plus, there are also different kinds of make-up - do you mean, blush on, mascara, lipstick, liners, foundation, etc.? Most of the time it is better to mix and match the brands for each particular product. Maybelline has good mascara and Lorac has the best lipstick shade. Then again, it all depends like I said before.

I think there is not a best brand of make-up. It all depends on what is best for your skin type. What I use is M.A.C. I love it. You might have to try different types. Go to the mall one day to one of the department stores and try out the different counters. Just have fun with it.

For face powder/foundation I like Benefit Cosmetics. I don't have great skin so its a little heavy and I l ike it that way. I also like their blushes. Mascara is also good.

I like the Sephora brand lip glosses.

Bare Minerals. I was reluctant to buy it at first due to the price, but it was worth it! It feels like you are not wearing any make-up and has cleared up the skin of everyone that I know who has used it.

I use many kinds. I use bareMinerals for foundation and blush, Almay for eyeshadow and mascara, and Maybelline for eyeliner and Neutrogena for concealer. I have discovered that different brands have different strong points.
