Wow, I can't believe no one has mentioned Yao Ming yet. Before his injury in December, he was in the running for MVP. There is no way Shaq is any better or more dominant than him. Amare Stoudemire is an All-Star, but he's not Yao Ming. Dwight Howard is becoming a star, but he's not there yet. Tim Duncan is not a true center, but even if you considered him, Yao is still better. Here are some stats that speak for themselves:

YAO MING
PPG 25.9
RPG 9.4
APG 2.1
SPG .37
BPG 2.22
FG% .522
FT% .867
3P% .000
MPG 34.6

SHAQUILLE O'NEAL
PPG 14.1
RPG 6.7
APG 1.1
SPG .27
BPG 1.67
FG% .533
FT% .479
3P% .000
MPG 24.9

AMARE STOUDEMIRE
PPG 20.1
RPG 9.5
APG .8
SPG .70
BPG 1.28
FG% .593
FT% .789
3P% .000
MPG 32.2

DWIGHT HOWARD
PPG 17.9
RPG 12.0
APG 1.7
SPG .82
BPG 1.84
FG% .599
FT% .622
3P% 1.000

TIM DUNCAN

With Shaq on the decline, and lack of talent at the center position Yao Ming is probably the best center out there right now. I don't neccessarily like how he plays, but he's one of the only centers in the league putting up 25+ a game. Amare Stoudamire is a close second but isnt as dominant as he was a few years ago. But this will all change with next year's draft class.

That's got to be the ManBeast Dwight Howard who dunks in the paint and Eats rebounds for breakfast

especially with Shaq on the decline and recovering

Only other center worth mentioning is yao but it's pretty stupid to call a guy who can only play 1/4 of a year dominant

the guy misses time with a leg cramp

Tim Duncan. People like Dwight Howard and Amare Stoudamire are great but Duncan clinically disects other teams. In a couple of yars one of the younger guys or Yao will be the man but for now Duncan is still king of the mountain. (Shaq's body has fianlly reaches the stage he is only a part-timer but on his night he can still take on anyone it's just his night doesn't occur as often now)

I'd probably say Dwight Howard he is the best center in the NBA. What's great about him is that he is young and can learn a lot.

Amare Stoudemire. He is a better dunker than Howard ^^^ and he has more of an offensive game. While Howard will pick up 2 to 3 more boards and an extra block or so, Stat has a much better offensive scoring game and is a much better FT shooter.

Yao isn't worth mentioning due to injury and Shaq is rapidly declining.

It's definately got to be my man Dwight Howard

and just one more thing did anyone see that dunk contest it was ridiculous Dwight Howard should have at least moved on past the first round I mean Gerald Green was great and I agree with him winning it but the "Sticker Dunk" was great I mean 12'6" on the backboard is just crazy!!!!!!!!

You are asking two questions here. the most dominant would have to be either Howard or Stoudamire, but the best is still Tim Duncan.
