I need to formamat my pc but i cant. It tells me something like this...
.make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer and any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a nanufturer supplied diagnostic or set up program

Can anyone help??

As it sounds you may be a little in-experienced with reformatting, you need to do some reading before you start. Take a look at these links.

It sounds like you only have one harddrive (your primary) and most systems have a saftey precaution that makes it difficult to format your primary drive. Sounds like the error message you are getting.

First off, before u can format it the HDD must be detected by ur system board (motherboard). After if u have any good, working OS cd.. ie XP or win2k, u can then format using one of the cd. Rest will be easy .. just a matter of following on screen instructions to finish it off. if HDD not detected by system board then check to make sure ur properly configured the drive using jumper and cable selection.
