Yes you are carrying around baggage. You need to get a hold of your life. You can't trust people, because you can't trust yourself. You may need counseling, or work on yourself, read books on self esteem!

A little insecurity is not necessarily a bad thing. It could be a healthy defense mechanism. However, when it starts interfering with the quality of life, then you have an issue.

If you are insecure about yourself, you need to start there. Why are you insecure about yourself? Looks? Intelligence? etc? If it is one thing, resolve to do something about it and take pride in the accomplishment. If it's more than one thing and its overwhelming, just focus on one item and give yourself permission to tackle the other things in your life at a later date.

If you are insecure about your best friend, tell her. Explain to her that you have had difficulty fully trusting people, and you need her at this point in your life to be someone you can count on. Also explain that it is nothing she has done, just personal issues that you are trying to resolve. If she is your best friend, I'm sure she can appreciate your dilemna.

Maybe this is just who you are. I looked for years trying to find out why I had trouble trusting people and why I have a negative outlook on most things but You know what I found It's just me. I love my life, I love myself, I am not the ugliest nor the prettiest on the block. I can't save money because I don't want to I think everything good is followed by something bad and sometimes I am right and sometimes I am wrong. I don't want to change who I am or how I think because it wouldn't be me anymore. Maybe that is you too.

Insecurity arises from many things. The best way to help you overcome this is to go see a therapist that will help you understand why you have problems with trusting others. Once you know why and are equipped to deal with it you get along much more better with others.

Childhood issues, couple with failed relationships, and trusting the wrong people would be my guess. You sound like a sensitive person who feelings get easily hurt. Seeing a therapist would probably be a good idea. Get you to open up and evaluate yourself and life. Good Luck!

Yes, it can. But stop looking for someone to blame and take full responsibility for yourself. Buy and watch the DVD entitled THE SECRET. I promise you it will help you understand.

Why that's rediculous, just because you are ugly, fat, unemployed, have pimples and you walk and talk funny? So what? We all have problems.... Trust me when I say forget about it. Just quit smoking all the profits....
