How about eating real food? You'll get your thiamine in plentiful amounts and you'll actually ABSORB it...

Or buy some expensive medicine that has a bastardized version of a much more natural form of it found in food. Your choice. : )

It could be used but I'd get the prescription filled. Often over the counter vitamins don't actually contain the dosage listed on the label, it could be a lot more, which could be toxic, or not enough. If you have insurance, you are probably getting it cheaper with the prescription anyway.
