Maybe she wanted more than friendship with you (just a guess) but I say, that since she's sending abusive emails above being hateful otherwise too, it is time you talk to a person you can trust, maybe your boss, (if you have a good repore,or some other trusted friend.
I do will say, keep any further written materials from her (very important), make a journal of all her doings to you, you might need it down the road. By sending those messages, she is breaking the law, it's called harassment and you could, if needed, sue her at a later date. Remember, KEEP ALL CORRESPONDENCE FROM HER.
In today's world we have to be smart even if it goes against ones character.

Before you complain to anybody higher up than her at your workplace, try talking to her first. Chances are you two might be able to work it out since you were friends in the past. But if not, it sounds like she is harassing you, and if she's making work an unpleasant place to be, you have the right to inform your boss of how she's acting. Let your boss know you aren't causing trouble by telling on her, but you just don't want to handle her immaturity when you are at work. Good luck to you! Hang in there!

Theres got to be a reason she suddenly turned into a mega witch. Is it possible maybe you got something that she wanted like a promotion or something and she is just jealous or angry. or it could be something personal that happened in her life and she's taking out on her friends or she just turning to royal pain in the rear end.

1.Ignore her.Silence breaks the heart.
2.Calmly confront her and ask her why is she doing what she is doing? what have you done to make her despise you?
3.Ask her to stop it. it is annoying
4.She is probably just jealous of you.
5. Slap her!(just joking). that would give her a rude awakening.
6.Go to the police.Issue a warrant against her.
7.FORGIVE HER
8.Pray for her
9.Give her a hug

it sounds to me like the problem is hers not yours. you could send her an email asking why she's being so nasty and if that doesn't work you can go to your employers with a copy of the emails and let them know she's bullying you.

You need to go to human resources, if you have one, and talk to them about this problem. Whatever she may feel about you is her opinion, but when she is threatening you she has crossed the line and you need to take care of it before it escalates.

Confront her in a non-confrontational way... Ask her if you've done anything to upset her...... She'll probably be embarrassed.
Jealousy is a terrible thing!
