Bake a bun in the oven, but don't let him know and when it's almost done ask him to check the oven for you...so then he will ask, "honey, why is there a bun in the oven?"...hee

To tell my parents, I got them each a bib that said I love grandma or grandpa and got them an individual gift and handed them each one and told them they had to open it at the same time and they were so excited and surprised. This would work really well for the dad too. For your 4 year old son, I would think that you should take him and get him a t-shirt that says "I am the big brother." This may be another way to tell your husband also. Have your son come into the room wearing his new shirt.

I got pregnant during football season - so I wrote a poem about an Eagles fan sitting on Daddy's knee & bought a little Eagles baby outfit & a shirt for dad, framed the poem & gave it to him in a bag. He didn't get it though...*lol* He thought the baby shirt was too small, liked his & didn't get the poem...I had to show him the test.

For our parents, we gave them booties at Christmas w/ an ultrasound in them...they ALL didn't get the booties, but as soon as they saw the ultrasound it was a big clue!

I bought a bib for my husband that said "I love my Daddy" and put it in a brown paper lunch bag for him. I gave it to him when I got home (about dinner time) and he thought maybe I had gotten take out or something for dinner. He still didn't get it for probably 2 minutes after reading the bib! He just looked at me with a puzzled look on his face!!

I'm not pregnant, but I hope to be soon, as well. When it comes time, I was thinking of wrapping some kind of gift...a t-shirt, picture frame, or something that says like "#1 Dad" on it, and let him figure it out! I also would do the same for my mom and dad..you know, get them grandma and grandpa stuff to surprise them.

P.S. you will be having orange juice by the way!!

My husband loves Chinese food. I printed out " Your going to be a father" on a piece of paper and slipped it into a fortune cookie. I took the other fortune out with a pair of tweezers first.

Spell it out with Cherrios on the kitchen counter over night and when he wakes up in the morning let him find it :)

I made a dinner consisting of baby carrots, baby back ribs, and asked him if he needed a bib...I bought one that said I love daddy on it. Then I told him!

He liked it and thought it was cute...he was so excited he couldn't eat the dinner...so don't spend too much on fancy food! LOL!

this reminds me of the Full House episode when rebecca was trying to tell jesse she was preggers .... with the "baby themed" food .... then playing a game of pictionary, instead of saying out loud, play a game
