couple things that could help take them to the next level

1. keep Favre off the ground

2. Get a SOLID RB, possibly a 2 RB team

3. Defense must stop giving up big plays

4. I think McCarthy could stand to be a little more dangerous with his play calling

To all the haters out there, the Pack did beat the Bears once this year and went 5-1 in their division. All they need to do is not lose those close games and 9-7 or 10-6 is definately not out of reach.

i think of the opening would be a demanding time for Rodgers. i think of that the Steelers could have the lead early perhaps, 10-3. Then a rapid strike to Jennings ties it. A punts from side to side and Crosby nets a 30 yarder to end the a million/2 thirteen-10 Packers. Packers get the ball and pass down the sector scoring putting them up 20-10. Then huge Ben gets his huge play and mendenhall powers in a 5 outdoor run. 20-17 Packers score income quite previous due 27-17... Steelers coming back yet throw INT to williams and the sport is over. very final: Packers: 27 Steelers: 17

I am always surprised how many people respond to a question about a team by saying "new quarterback" Yes, the quarterback touches the ball a lot but he only throws it or hands it off most of the time. The most important thing is who he throws it or hands it off too. Put Peyton Manning on the Raiders squad and they still would suck.

Brett is a smart QB he still has zip on the ball. Put him in a situation where he's not always behind and feels like everything rests on him and he could be very productive. That said, there will be some nice options for Green Bay at #16. I would suggest someone like Dwayne Jarrett or Marshawn Lynch in the first and Dwayne Bowe may fall to them in the second round if not and they don't take Lynch in the first, Michael Bush should be available.

The defense is solid at LB and DB's the line needs some work so they could take a look at Ryan McBean if he were to fall to them in the second round. Otherwise, there is some quality defensive players available as free agents. I think they should take a hard look at Adalius Thomas. Although he may not fit their scheme, his athleticism is definitely needed. I have heard Patrick Kerney may be on the trading block @ Atlanta. He could be worthwhile for the Pack to look at.

first you ppl that think rogers should be over favre come on rogers went in and in one play broke his ankle. Rogers is going to be that guy who is always hurt. Yes we need a better more stable fb and rb. the line is coming together as i the defense. Now coaching staff there is the problem who on 1st and goal opts to pass when green already had 116 yds prior that play. (bills) We need 1 or 2 better wide outs, to take the heat off driver. And get rid of all of the wine babies that want more money and what not. The packers have a decent team, and will beat bears both times and win the division

The Return of Brett Favre provides hope, but this team is way too young to compete for a Super Bowl berth. It could be a playoff contender if it adds a franchise running back, but that seems unlikely with the 16th overall draft pick and a shallow pool of backs to choose from. Playmakers are also needed at wideout and tight end, particularly a big receiver who can be a red zone threat. Look for them to pick RB Marshawn Lynch of California with their first choice. They could be respectable in 2007 and a possible playoff team in 2008. They really are about 3-4 years away from being a Super Bowl contender.

To grow as a team. They are not as bad as I thought they would be. Brett Favre is not to old, and still is as good as any QB playing the position. He just didnt have the talent other big name QB's did. Put him on the bears this past year, they win the Superbowl. And to anyone that wants to see Favre retire, you apparently and not Football people because like him or not he is what football is all about, the love of the game.

The Pack need a O and D line and a RB. John H how can you say they "lost out" on Vince Young he was the number 3 pick in the 1st round and Green Bay had the number 5?

A better team starting with a superstar. Sorry Brett, you are a great leader and the team still needs you but you are no Brady or Manning. The Packers need someone like LT or Ray Lewis. Easier said then done I know but something needs to be done.

Well, first of all - Matt G, we did beat the Bears, did you not see the NYE game??
The Packers, being the great guys that they are, felt sorry for the Bears, and decided to give them a shot, since they haven't made it to the Superbowl in 21 years!!! That's just the way us people from Wisconsin do things...help out the underdogs...
Don't worry, we'll be back...

Honestly, they need to let Aaron Rodgers play alot more often, he's good enuff to be a Starter, second they need to draft either a reciever to give him or Favre a go to guy (was stupid to trade Walker) or draft a better runningback. Ahman Green isn't half the back he needs to be. Third, yeah change divisions for sure cuz with the bears there good luck
